Jayne Timlin, a respected mortgage broker on the Manhattan Mortgage team, brings nearly a decade of professional experience on both sides of the homebuying process – as a licensed R.E. broker (PA) and as a Mortgage Broker in NY, NJ, NH and CA.
“I learned this business from the bottom up”, explains Jayne. “After a successful management career in retail, I decided to pursue a new professional path in the mortgage industry. After evaluating several firms, I joined the team of one of the top mortgage originators in the country at Manhattan Mortgage – and handled every aspect of the mortgage process with the client. I was recently promoted to the position of mortgage broker and continue to be hands-on with every client… staying involved from pre-qualification through closing."
Jayne’s success as a financing professional can be attributed to her business philosophy:“New Yorkers are busy. They need impeccable service. I make each client feel like they are my only client – and keep them informed about the process each step of the way.”
Whether a first-time homebuyer – or a buyer who is relocating because of school, job, growing family, divorce or purchase of a second home, Jayne can relate. “I’ve been in their shoes – and in each of those situations. I am excited to be a part of the changes in my client’s lives and pride myself on helping them achieve their goals. I give them the information they need to put in an offer and place a bid on their new home – and help them approach the homebuying process from a position of strength.”
She also gives credit to her daughter who continually inspires her. "She taught me that you must see yourself in a role, believe it, and take ownership in your goal to become successful."
Judging by the number of referrals that Jayne consistently earns from her past clients as well as R.E. brokers, Attorneys and Financial Advisors, it's evident that Jayne Timlin sees her role quite clearly and takes strong ownership of each of her goals.
Jayne is single mother whose family continues to be her strongest motivation in life. Her oldest daughter is a recent nursing school graduate, her second daughter, who has a strong passion for travel, has been around the world and will graduate this year from The New School in NYC, her son is a history major at Plattsburg State University, and her youngest daughter is a professional actress who began her role as “Baby Louise” in Gypsy on Broadway directed by Sam Mendes. Jayne also has a four-year old grandson who lives with her. “I can connect with families on every level!:" Jayne believes in giving back to the community - and is a volunteer with MMRF (Laugh for Life) and Lungevity (Walk for Lung Cancer).
